Residential garbage pickup is every Thursday between noon and 1pm.
When is my water payment due?
Water bills are due by the 10th of each month. Payments can be mailed to PO Box 177 or place in the slot at the council chambers.
What is the ordinance for vehicles in my yard?
Pursuant to the St Thomas City Ordinance Chapter VII, Article IV it is in violation to store unsheltered junk or abandoned automobiles within the City of St Thomas. All nuisance or personal property should be in completly enclosed buildings authorized to be used for storage purposes, if within the coroporate limits of the city or otherwise remove it to a location outside the city limits.
1. Its a place for rodents to live and hide.
2. Its a eye sore which reflects on the whole town.
Do I need a permit for a recreational fire?
Yes, permits are required for all bonfires in enclosed fire pits.
There is no cost for a permit and can be obtained by contacting your fire chief.
If I take care of the empty city lots around me, does that make the property mine?
No, if you would like ownership of the property you would need to purchase the property from the city. The City does thank you for helping keep our town nice.
